Fantastic Worlds Contest
They say the entire universe is inside each of us. What fantastic worlds lie
within your mind? Fantasy and reality, science and fiction blend together in
ways only dreamt of... Show us the Fantastic Worlds inside of you...
Entries must depict a fantasy landscape. Terrains, space, underwater are all
welcome. Creatures and humanoids are allowed, however the main focus of the
entry must be the landscape itself. Entries must be "Fantastic" in some fashion
and not appear too earth-like. No limitations of software used. It does need to
be your creation though. No stock photos or art by other people. You must make
and render it yourself. So you can paint it, draw it, model it.
This contest is open to all members of 3DCommune and 3DCommune volunteer
moderators.
Special thanks to our 3DC Vendors, sponsors, and the great staff at 3D Commune. Sponsors for this contest are:

April 22, 2007
April Fools Day came to stay.
So did Spring breakers out to play.
An important holiday to some took seat.
Rounding out with Earth and Arbor Day to make it complete.
So much to do and yet did you see?
All the wonderful works indeed.
Settling back while catching your breath.
View all that tumbled through while taking a rest.
So much happened during this month past
It is almost over has something been lapsed?
Refreshed again to start anew.
Backed up with the knowledge of your Review.

Discuss the Poser Review
Poser Challenge
You still have time to get into the Poser Challenge for
April. The challenge is
to create a scene with a sphere in it, then, using the Poser Material Room,
create a custom texture for the sphere. The challenge runs until April 30.
Bryce Challenge
This is the last week for April Bryce
Challenge. The challenge is to Create the most dramatic aerial view of a
scene that you can. From a Bird's-eye view, or looking off a cliff, or roof.
Doesn't have to be a fish-eye(extreme perspective) lens view. Besides, most
fish don't fly. Explore what a camera can do, looking down. The challenge ends
April 30.
Terragen Challenge
TonyLynch, winner of the April Challenge in the Terragen forum, has selected a
theme for May's challenge. It is High Country.
This challenge runs until May 10. Tony's won three in a row, let's see if we
can knock him off the throne.

In the News and Header Images -
This week's header was rendered by A1HostCoMark using Vue 6 Infinite. It shows
Alexa wearing BillyT's Cropped Jean Set and FK Designs' KirTie Hair. Not sure
what WoodB3rt is planting, but it could be trouble. Also shown is TonyLynch's
Outhouse posing as a garden shed.
This weeks Header for the Gallery Pix is The Lightmaker by frogdot. The images
in the body are the last of the big spinners by buzz69, Still Life II by RandC,
Implacable by Melian, Journey of the Unicorn: A Distant Sea by tinablanton, and
Go for a trip by Kazuya. The header for the Freestuff Sampler is jumpstartme2's
Mysticals Vol 1. The thumbnails in the Freestuff Sampler show azer's Cinderella
Carriage, Thandaluz's Spherical Deliriums and alan's DarkCity for Daz Cyclorama.
