DAZ3D Releases Hexagon 2.2
Hexagon 2.2 includes many stability enhancements in this feature packed release.
It delivers all the tools a graphic artist needs to create complete detailed
textured 3D models ready for final render. Features like Freehand modeling
brushes, microdisplacement modeling tools, comprehensive UV-mapping module with
UV-unfold, advanced 3D paint, and instant Ambient Occlusion are enough to make
more expensive high-end softwares, blue in the face! Hexagon allows you to make
a 3D reality of anything from your minds eye.
Owners of Hexagon 2.1 can download this update for free! At DAZ go to My
Account, select Itemized Order History, Find Hexagon in the list of items (or
use CTRL+F or Command+F from your browser to find it quicker), then click on
Reset. In a short while, DAZ will send you an e-mail that your download has
been reset. The updated version should be there for you to download.

Announcing the "Vue 3D Environment Competition 2007!" -
8 JUDGES TO REPRESENT THE 3D ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY!
July 2, 2006. Beaverton, Oregon: e-on software, makers of Vue, the leading
solutions for natural 3D environments, in association with Softimage,
Cornucopia3D and 3D World Magazine, today announced the second edition of the
"Vue 3D Environment Competition", designed to showcase the capabilities of 3D
technology for CG environments.
Any version of Vue - including the free Vue 6 Personal Learning Edition (PLE) -
can be used to enter the competition. Judging will be based solely on the
quality, realism and artistic merit of the entries, not on the version of Vue
used to create them.
